Alice Katchadoorian Houts was born July 27, 1950 in Detroit Michigan, to Lucy (Doumanian) and Albert Katchadoorian. Alice passed away on January 5, 2021 at the age of 70.
After graduating from Dondero High School in Royal Oak, Alice went on to work for her Uncle’s dry cleaning business. Then she worked for many years at Lectron until her retirement.
Alice was a fun loving and sincere person who was known for her love of purple. She loved the color purple as was evident in her wardrobe and just about everything she owned. She loved Elvis and had a very large collection of memorabilia.
Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy (Doumanian) Koncagul, her step-dad, Hamparsum Koncagul, her father, Albert Katchadoorian, and her brother Robert Katchadoorian.
Alice is survived by her sisters, Karen Touchstone (Tyrone), Linda Jenkinson (Cliff) brothers, Arthur Koncagul (Kathy), Harry Katchadoorian (Donna), Albert Katchadoorian, step-mom, Rose Katchadoorian, nephew, Ian Koncagul, nieces, Sydney Koncagul, Britney Touchstone, Destiny Rodney, her adopted daughter Chrissy Gifford (Mike), “grand kids” Luke and Megan Gifford and many cousins and extended family across the country.
Due to Covid, services are private. A memorial will be held at a later date when travel and large gatherings are allowed. In lieu of flowers consider making a memorial donation in Alice’s name to St.Paul of Tarsus Food Pantry. St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Parish (spotcatholic.org).
