Isabel Arevigian was born on June 23, 1925 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Setrak and Sadie Mikitaroff. She graduated from Fordson High School, attended Wayne State University and then worked many years as an Accountant. On September 21, 1947 she married George Arevigian. George preceded her in death February 21, 2000. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved sister Margie. Her lifelong interests included music, old classic movies, cooking, crossword puzzles and her love of fine fashion. She always made sure that even her daughter Sharon wore nothing but the best. She was quite proud of mastering her third language, French. Mickey, as she was known to many, loved her family. Her "Twins" Sharon and Greg were her pride and joy. She instilled confidence in her children. There was never a doubt that they would go to college, they knew that from an early age. What she was most proud of were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and the people they had become. She especially relished in each one of their accomplishments. A visit or phone call from her family would make her day. Her friends would remark how lucky she was to have such frequent visits from family. She just made us ALL feel so "Special"!!! She settled in at Oakwood Common (Assisted Living) five years ago. She grew to love her "home" there. She lead a full active life in spite of her physical disabilities. She made many close friends and grew to love many of her caregivers, especially Annabel!! Mom was a beautiful, strong and courageous woman who touched everyone she met. Selfless, compassionate, witty and funny, she lived each day to the fullest.
