Born January 21, 1936 - Passed Away February 28, 2021

Born and raised in Highland Park, Michigan to parents John and Arshalous (Mashigian) Mihertadian. Arlene met and married Armen Aramian and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage before Armen passed away in 2002.

Dearest sister to Carole (the late George) Basmadjian, and the late George (Gloria) Mihertadian. Loving Aunt to the late Kevin (Emily Smith), Kenneth, Christopher (Shannon) Basmadjian & Jennifer (David) Findling, and the late Jeffrery, John (Maggie) Mihertadian & Joanne (Edward) Gamboa, and Great Aunt to Natta, Areena, Jake, Noah, Christian, Alex, Kylie, Benjamin, Carly, Levi, Sean, Shane, Alicia, Stephanie, and Meagan, and Great, Great Aunt to Sofia. Dear cousin and friend to many more.

Arlene worked at Ford Motor Company for 41 years and retired as Secretary for the Vice President. Following retirement, she enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family and friends. In 2000, she joined the Troy Women's Association, a non-profit organization, and became an active member serving on many committees to raise funds and help support many programs within the City of Troy, as well as the surrounding community. In 2014 she became a member of the Armenian Renaissance Association and contributed her time and talents to help raise funds for which they award scholarships to deserving Armenian students to assist them with their college tuition as well as other charitable donations both here and in Armenia.

She will be remembered and missed greatly by many.

Visitation Monday, March 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until her 12:00 p.m. funeral service at the Armenian Congregational Church of Greater Detroit, 26210 W. Twelve Mile Road, Southfield.

Private family burial to follow at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Congregational Church of Greater Detroit, American Cancer Society, or Charity of Choice.

A Memorial Luncheon in her memory will be held at a later date.
