Barur Damlama age 98 passed into eternal life on April 25, 2021, joining his beloved wife Ardem of 62 years. He is survived by daughters Meri and Suzi, sons-in law Chris and Bedros, grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Justin, and Kristen, nephews.

Our Baba was known for his great big smile, joy of life, practical jokes, and boisterous laughter. He loved to watch game shows and animal programs; he cherished weekly card games with friends, outings with family and friends, long walks, and waxing his car as often as possible.

After loosing his father at a young age, Baba quickly completed his studies and took over his father's dental practice which he nurtured until he immigrated to the US. He loved his profession and had many fond memories to share. Baba was an avid music lover and a concert violinist in his younger years.

Baba certainly was a unique character and will be dearly missed. We find comfort in knowing that he is enjoying eternal peace with the heavenly hosts in the company of his loved ones.

A private family funeral service will be held at St John Armenian Church, Southfield, MI on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by interment at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Society for Orphaned Armenia Relief (SOAR) at https://www.soar-us.org/ or Cultural Society of Armenians From Istanbul (CSAI) in support of their many humanitarian activities; checks made to CSAI and mailed to 22001 Northwestern Hwy, Southfield, MI 48075.
