Betty Jane Simpson Obituary

Betty loved Bingo, casinos, playing pinochle, and shopping.

She was a wonderful mother who would sew beautiful clothes for Karen and became a Boy Scout leader for Brad. She loved to ice skating. She was in a ice skating dance group in her teen years. Often she would help us make ice rinks in our backyard. There is nothing she would not do for her family.

She was a good wife to her husband George for 66 years. They were avid members of the Royal Oak Elks Club for many years.

Betty loved her grandchildren Eric, Michael, and Alyssa. She was also fortunate to have beautiful great grandchildren Christopher, Mackenzie, Brooklyn, and Savannah.

She always would make sure our Thanksgiving dinners were special, always using her best silver and dishes. She was a wonderful caring person who lived life to the fullest.

The last years of her life she suffered many ailments, but rarely complained. She always tried to make the best of her situation.

Her age and medical challenges finally took over her body and she could not go on even though she gave it her best effort. Betty is now hopefully with all her loved ones that went before her and now can have her long deserved rest.

Rest In Peace Betty and know that you were dearly loved.

Private family service burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI.
