Dan Mahlebashian, age 59 of Novi, passed away on March 31, 2021. Loving husband of MaryAnn and adoring father of Morgan. Brother of Joanne (Dale) Stockman and Robert (Adriana Soto). Son-in-law of Viola MacLeod. Brother-in-law of Nancy (Robert) Boynton, Jacquelyn (Richard) Warren, Dawn (Robert) Elam and Christine (Thomas) Cooper. Nephew of Alice Hamparian and Dr. Arthur Hamparian. Dan will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Albes Rose Mahlebashian.

Dan grew up in Detroit and graduated from Bishop Borgess High School. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Central Michigan University. Dan started his career at Florists' Transworld Delivery Association (FTD) and was involved in many aspects of the business. After many years with FTD, Dan moved to Borders Group, Inc. where he was responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis before joining Beautiful Island (a start-up dot.com business). Dan joined General Motors 20 years ago, where he was always eager to learn and take on new responsibilities. He held positions in Information Systems & Services and retired two years ago from his role as Executive Director of Global Business Services (GBS).

Dan was a lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. In retirement, Dan enjoyed reading and golf. Throughout his life, Dan was always hardworking and will also be remembered for his optimism. He enjoyed connecting with people, which was demonstrated by the many family and friends he stayed in contact with on a regular basis. Dan's most important role in life was that of Husband to MaryAnn for 33 years and proud Father of Morgan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, 19300 Ford Road, Dearborn, MI 48128. Strict COVID rules will be observed.

Interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi.
