The family of Dirouhie (Dee) Shrikian is saddened to announce her passing after a long and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was 64 years young.
Dirouhie was the daughter of the late Reverend Dr. Gorun Shrikian and Yeretzgeen Arpine Shrikian. She is survived by her sister Anie (Greg) Chinarian, brother Movses (Mary Anne) Shrikian, nieces and nephews, Ahrev (Hulsey) Smith, Dr. Tamar Shrikian, Zaven Shrikian, Arram Chinarian and Kohar (Joseph) Gikas and her cherished grandniece Arpiné Cecilia Smith. She is loved and will be deeply missed by her many relatives, friends, and co-workers.
Dee was a gentle, graceful, and generous person. Her battle with breast cancer began 14 years ago, but she was not defined by the disease. She loved to travel and explore the world, appreciated music of many genres, loved to dance and was a wonderful cook who enjoyed baking and entertaining family and friends. Dee was a beautiful, kind soul who led a rich and fulfilling life before and after her diagnosis. Asdvadz hokin lousavoreh (“May God illuminate her soul”)
