Master Craftsman, and beloved family man, Don M. Spielbusch, of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Don was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on June 14, 1955, to Matthew and Dorothy Spielbusch, and was their sixth of seven children. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1973, before proudly serving in the United States Navy, from 1975-80.
In May of 1979, Don married Marcelle Crutcher, and together they raised four sons and one daughter in their family home in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Since discovering his love for carpentry in the early 1980’s, until just days before his passing, Don’s work ethic and effort were matched only by his love for the craft.
His passion for work only came second to his love for his family, especially his grandchildren and grand dogs. Whether camping, fishing, or hunting fairies with his granddaughters, his family time was his joy in life.
Don was predeceased by his parents, and sister Patty Mauk. He is survived by his wife, Marcelle, his children; Trevor, Nathan, Joshua, (Megan), Noah, (Hailey), Yvonne, and his beloved grandchildren; Harper, Willow, and Ace, and his siblings; Doretta Jackson, Leon Spielbusch, Linda Bullard, Joe Spielbusch, and Joy Jackson.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, at 4404 Alan Ln, Lake Orion, MI 48359
All who wish to attend and celebrate his life are welcome.
