Edward Derian died peacefully in his home, October 7th, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born in Detroit Michigan in 1922. He was the eldest child of Arakel and Pegouri (Hintlian) DerBoghosian. The family included his brothers Haig (Alice) and Richard (Nadia) and his late sister Sonia (late Jack) Kezelian. Eddie proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, as a commissioned officer. He retired from Sears after a successful 25 year career in which he was the top grossing salesman. His retirement included numerous hours of volunteer service at Henry Ford Hospital. Ed loved playing golf and tavloo and spending time with his many friends and family. Edward leaves behind a wonderful legacy in the close and loving family he created with his devoted wife of 64 years, Mary (Jevahirian). He was the proud father of Richard (Jane), Janice (Daniel Toth), Carl (Mary) and the late Gary. Eddie was the cherished grandfather of John, Katherine, Alexandra, Meredith, Michael, M. Edward, Garrison, Anna, Garrett, Christopher, and Cameron and the late Colin. Eddie's love of life and his wonderful sense of humor brought joy to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. Visitation Saturday October 13 at 3:30pm at the Edward Korkoian Funeral Home 836 N. Main Street, Royal Oak (248) 541-8325. The Memorial Service will begin at 4:30pm and end at 5:00pm.
