Florence Jevahirian passed peacefully at her home and with her family by her side on October 2, 2019.

The daughter of Armenian immigrants, Florence was born on December 20, 1935 to Dikran and Adriena Simonian in Troy, New York. After the early death of her father, her mother married Karnig Oskoian and the family settled in Highland Park, Michigan. Following her graduation from Highland Park High School she worked as a secretary in the Fisher Building.

Florence married Haig Aram Jevahirian (deceased) in 1957 and they had three children, Linda, Mark (Mary) and David (Patricia). They raised their family in Detroit, Livonia, New Jersey and finally settled in West Bloomfield. The wife of an entrepreneur and a partner in their home decorating and furnishing businesses, Florence worked at Re-Sell-it-Estate Sales until she retired.

Florence was an easy going, pleasant and gentle spirit who brought joy to others through her wit and great sense of humor. She loved to stay busy with home projects, family dinners, reading, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and shopping - especially at estate sales where she could hunt for fun and useful items. She was incredibly generous and was the happiest when she was helping others.

Beloved wife of the late Haig.

Loving mother of Linda, Mark (Mary) and David (Patricia).

Cherished grandmother of John, Nicholas, Julie, Robert and Edward.

Dearest sister of Margie Simonian, the late Alice Simonian and the late Richard (Patricia) Simonian and sister in law of the late Edward (Mary) Derian.

Florence will also be missed by her east coast family Philip (late Rose), Ovoian, Robert (Valerie) Ovoian and Margie (David) Sluter.

Florence will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Tuesday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with 7:00 p.m. Prayers at St. John Armenian Church 22001 Northwestern Highway, Southfield.

In state Wednesday 10:00 a.m. until Florence's 11:00 a.m. Funeral at church.

Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flower memorial donations are to St. John Armenian Church or Friends of Holy Etchmiadzin.
