George Keith “Buzz” Morgan passed away peacefully on September 13th, 2025, at the age of 69, surrounded by family. George was born on November 27th, 1955, in Marion, NC to the late George and Hazel Morgan.

George grew up in the hills of North Carolina until the age of 13 when the family moved to Flint, MI. While in Flint for high school, George took to sports, playing football all four years and then being recruited to Duke University where he played for a few years on scholarship.

After football, golf was George’s passion, having been a PGA Teaching Professional for more than 30 years and the course professional at multiple golf clubs in Michigan and Florida. George and his wife, Debbie, were heavily involved in the support of autism awareness in the state of Michigan. George also had a golf talk radio show on many AM channels across the country for multiple years.

George is survived by and is greatly missed by his loving wife Deborah (nee Hamilton) of 38 years; daughter, Kelly Morgan; daughter Jennifer Hurst and husband Jacob Hurst; son Kenneth Morgan; and grandson, Brendon Johnson-Morgan.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George General and Hazel Louise (nee Willis), and his sister, Becky Morgan.

A private family celebration of George’s life will be held in the spring of 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Creative Employment Opportunities of Pontiac, MI, a non-profit human services agency providing support to people with intellectual disabilities.
