George Patterson Simpson, age 92, passed away at St. John Oakland Hospital on Sunday, May 26. Beloved husband of Betty. They were married on June 13, 1949 in Detroit. Loving father of Bradley (Cynthia) Simpson and Karen Hanson. Also loved by grandchildren Eric Simpson, Michael Hanson and Alyssa Haynes. Visitation Thursday 2-8PM with an Elks Lodge of Sorrow 7PM at the Spiller-Spitler Chapel, Edward Korkoian Funeral Home, 836 North Main St., Royal Oak 248 541 4800. Funeral service Friday 11 at the funeral home. Interment White Chapel Cemetery. George retired from Chrysler Corp. after 42 years of service, a Royal Oak resident for 62 years, 61 year member of the Royal Oak Elks. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, bowling, fishing, collecting coins and stamps. He was a very friendly and outgoing person.
