Age 87. George passed away on his wife's birthday on January 22. Beloved husband of the late Alice. Loving father of Sandra Lee (Edmund) Bourgeois, Carol Lynn Jutras, George L. Tirakian and Edward L. (Julie) Tirakian. Loving grandfather of Diane, Michelle, Bryon, Patrick, Paul, Scott, Yvonne and Samantha. Loving great-grandfather of Chad, Cory, Mitchell, Kyle, Ryan, Madison, Ethan and Brandon. Dear brother of the late Eva Nalian, Jack Teraikian and Angeline Berberian. George will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He served in the US Army during WWII. Visitation Wednesday 1pm-8pm with a 7pm prayer service at the Edward Korkoian Funeral Home Spiller-Spitler Chapel 836 N. Main Street, Royal Oak (248) 541-8325 Funeral service 11am Thursday at St. Johns Armenian Church 22001 Northwestern Highway, Southfield. The visitation will begin at 10am at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Military honors will be offered at the cemetery. His family requests memorial donations to St. Johns Armenian Church.
