Helana Cucinella passed away suddenly at her home in Dearborn, Michigan.

Devoted wife to her deceased husband Guiseppe Cucinella, loving mother of Larry Cucinella and daughter-in-law Lucy, sister to Jennifer Valoppi and her husband Christian Mahe de Berdouare’, devoted aunt to Julian and Jordan Mahe de Berdouare’.

Helana was known for her witty sense of humor, and beaming smile.

She loved the Michigan colors of the autumn, her favorite time of year.

She met her husband Joe when she was 16 years old and helped run the construction company they created.

Daughter of Helen and Peter Valoppi, granddaughter of Lucy and Yeprem Sarkisian, Helana is survived by her son, sister, nephews and many beloved cousins and some lifelong friends.

Visitation Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:45 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish 22430 Michigan Ave, Dearborn. 

Helana's funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Burial Service to follow at Woodmere Cemetery 9400 W. Fort Street, Detroit.  

A memorial meal will follow the burial.
