Age 93. Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Beloved husband of Melina Gigian. Loving father of Irma (Varujan) Kabakciyan, Ani (Vahe) Akaraz and Sonia (Steve) Kalfayan. Cherished grandfather of Tanya (Larry) Dadian, Natalie (Raffi) Yaghdjian, Dr. Rita (Ara) Avedissian, Greg (Christina) Akaraz and Michael and Linda Kalfayan. Dear great-grandfather of 6. Mr. Gigian will also be missed by his cousins, the Barikyan, Torigian and Seferian families. Dear brother in law of Harutyun (Silva) Seropioglu and family, Bercouhi Mumcu in Istanbul, Turkey and his Khnamee, Zepur Akaraz. In state Wednesday 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at St. Johns Armenian Church, Southfield. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flower donations in Mr. Gigian's memory are to The Cultural Society of Armenians from Istanbul (C.S.A.I.) or the A.G.B.U. Alex & Marie Manoogian School.
