Helen Baltayan

Age 93, passed away peacefully on Thurs., May 24, 2012, with her family by her side. Born in Highland Park, MI. Loving wife of the late Nishan (Nick), mother of Dolly (Mike) Matoian, Marge (Jim) Nardell and Janice (Harry) Megerian. Grandmother of Nicole and Dr. Christine Matoian; Peter (Aimee) Nardell and Mark (Kathryn) Nardell; and Michael, Greg, and Melissa Megerian. Great-grandmother of Reese, Conner, Nicholas and Owen Nardell. Helen's priority through her life was for family, as well as friends--she had a gift for making them feel special. Her flair for baking and entertaining was indicative of her love for people. Visitation 5 - 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2012, with funeral service held at 7:30 p.m. at St. John's Armenian Church, 22001 Northwestern Highway, Southfield, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Gregory of Narek Armenian Apostolic Church, 678 Richmond Rd., Richmond Heights, OH 44143. Burial will take place in Akron, Ohio, beside her husband of 54 years.
