It is with sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Stephanian. She passed away on July 30 at her daughter's home in West Bloomfield, Michigan at the age of 93 after battling uterine cancer and dementia. She was born on August 12, 1925 and raised in Pontiac by her loving parents, the late Garabed and Araksi Topalian.
Margaret was the second child of five siblings, who all passed before her: Oscar, Martha, Mary, and Harry. As a child and young adult, she worked in her father's Southside Grocery Store shelving products and collecting money. She then met the love of her life, the late John Stephanian. Together they raised three children: Patricia Morris, the late Robert, and Michael. She was the proud grandmother to Jennifer Morris, Johnathon (Maria) and William (Angelica). She was the very loved GG to Grace Elizabeth.
During retirement, Margaret and John enjoyed spending the winters in both Phoenix, AZ and Las Vegas, NV, and most recently with her daughter in Pompano Beach, FL. She loved cooking, dancing, and being the life of the party. She always had a smile on her face and an infectious laugh. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.
The viewing will be at St. John Armenian Church, Southfield, MI on Sunday, August 4 from 5:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM.
