Mary (nee Elian) Kurkechian

Age 81. After a brief illness, Mary passed away peacefully on June 27, 2015, with her family by her side. Dearest wife of the late Berj Paul Kurkechian. Loving mother of Paul (Linda), Robert (Isabel), Craig (Arsho) and Linda. Proud grandma of John, George, Mia, Christopher, Alex, Sara and Michael. Younger sister of the late George (the late Marion) Elian. Dear sister in law of Edward (Evelyn) Kurkechian. Mother-in-law of Anne. Mary will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, Khenames, cousins, caregivers and friends. Mary was devoted to her family and spread joy to everyone she met. She is now singing in Heaven. Visitation Wednesday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Prayer Service at St. Johns Armenian Church 22001 Northwestern Highway, Southfield, MI 48075. In state Thursday 10 a.m. until 11 a.m Funeral Service at church. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's memory are to St. Johns Armenian Church Komitas Choir or Dorothy and Peter Brown Adult Daycare Program (www.jslmi.org).
