Michael Scott Sanford, age 66, passed away in his home in Grand Blanc Michigan on Sunday February 28th 2021. Michael was born in Grayling Michigan on July 28th 1954 to Eugene and Crystal Sanford.
Graduating from Ferris State University he went on to have a long successful career in news as a cameraman for 33 years winning awards and accolades including an Emmy.
He was loved and cherished by his family for his easy demeanor. A man of simple pleasures, seeking peace and serenity in nature. Spending many summers in the upper peninsula of Michigan with friends and family. He taught us that in the quiet moments around a campfire or sharing a cup of coffee that love and understanding could always be found. These lessons will be cherished and his presence missed by his peers and family.
His legacy is carried on in the impressions he made on those close to him and his son Christian. His wishes were such that there will be no funeral service but you may make a donation in his name to the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy.
