Richard L. Kalajian

Richard L. Kalajian passed away on May 26, 2023 at the age of 84.  Richard was a proud Armenian and proud to say he was from Southwest Detroit.

Beloved husband of the late Virginia P. Kalajian. 

Loving father of Renee Anoush Kalajian and Richard L. (Melinda) Kalajian Jr.

Loving brother of Shirley (the late Lee) DeVoss, Rosemarie Kalajian, the late Alice Good.   

Beloved God-Father to Vanessa Lynn Meier.

Richard will always be loved and remembered by everyone who knew him, including his grandchildren who called him “Papa’, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

Visitation Friday, June 2, 2023  from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon.  The Funeral Service at St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church begins at 12 Noon.  A memorial luncheon will follow at Church.  Following the memorial luncheon, a 3:00 p.m. Graveside Burial Service is to take place at Woodmere Cemetery.    

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are to St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church.
