Age 89, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2015 with his family at his side. Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Dena (nee Tarachas), his loving daughter, Karen (Raymond) Kalinowski and his cherished grandchildren, Peter and Elizabeth. Dear brother of Virginia (Arthur) Mekjian, the late Marie (the late Cedric) Danielian and the late Zabel (the late John) Hooks. Born and raised in Detroit and a graduate of Cass Technical High School, Rick is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends. He was a decorated WWII Veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart as well as a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and a longtime and loyal Wolverines football fan. Rick was highly respected in the financial industry and made his living as a trusted consultant, most recently with Wells Fargo Advisors. Visitation Tuesday, April 28 from 5pm-8pm, Prayer Service at 7:30pm at St. Johns Armenian Church, 22001 Northwestern Highway (South of 9 Mile Rd.) Southfield. In state beginning at 10am, Wednesday at St. Johns, funeral at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to St. Johns Armenian Church or St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
